On February 27, the vessel Da Qing Xia fully loaded with the first batch of 50 hybrid mining trucks produced by Sany Heavy Equipment left Bayuquan Port for Jakarta Port, Indonesia. This marks the first foreign trade shipment of hybrid mining trucks by the Sixth Company of Yingkou Port, and also a vivid practice of Yingkou Maritime Safety Administration in supporting enterprise development, optimizing the business environment, and helping high-quality products of Northeast China’s manufacturing industry go global.

To seize market share in the international large mining truck market, Sany Heavy Equipment has focused on key links in the equipment manufacturing sector and broken through core technical barriers. The SRT100S hybrid mining truck shipped this time is 11 meters long, 5.7 meters wide, 5.4 meters high, with a dead weight of 70 tons. It integrates large load capacity, low energy consumption and high intelligence, showing outstanding competitiveness in the international market.

The batch of goods was originally planned to be transshipped through other ports. To ensure all hinterland cargoes are fully handled and fill the gap in new energy vehicle operations, the company took the initiative to connect with Sany Heavy Equipment and started port qualification procedures at the earliest time.

Sun Yemu, Manager of the Heavy Cargo Business Department of the company, said that since this batch of hybrid mining trucks is classified as UN 3166 dangerous goods under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, if transported as dangerous goods, it would take 3 to 4 months for port qualification, resulting in the loss of the transshipment opportunity for this cargo.

After obtaining the cargo export information, the Sixth Company of Yingkou Port jointly sought support from relevant government departments and maritime authorities with the customer. In response to the enterprise’s urgent difficulties and needs, Yingkou Maritime Safety Administration, in line with the principle of “taking the initiative to provide services, solving problems accurately, and enabling enterprises to invest, operate and develop with peace of mind”, jointly set up a special work team led by the principal person in charge with relevant units. The team organized experts to conduct in-depth research on international maritime conventions, and accurately guided Sany Heavy Equipment to be exempted from dangerous goods transportation operations through compliant methods, helping the company sign a large annual foreign trade order and ensuring the smooth launch of this business at Bayuquan Port.

The SRT100S hybrid mining trucks are manufactured by the Shenyang Company of Sany Heavy Equipment. Choosing to ship from Bayuquan Port can save the company nearly 30,000 yuan in road freight for port assembly per truck. Based on an annual export contract of 400 units, the company can save a total of more than 12 million yuan in road freight for port assembly, while bringing about 120,000 tons of cargo throughput and considerable economic benefits to the port.

Relevant person in charge of Sany Heavy Equipment introduced the above.

The successful acquisition of hybrid mining truck cargo and the smooth completion of the first batch of operations benefit from the strong support of Yingkou Maritime Safety Administration, the continuous optimization of the port business environment, and also fully demonstrate the professional capacity of Yingkou Port in the field of large equipment logistics. The Sixth Company of Yingkou Port will build on this momentum, make full use of the advantages of foreign trade steel routes, ensure all hinterland cargoes are fully handled, continuously expand the hinterland, compete for equipment-type cargoes, and give play to the port’s role in enabling more products made by Chinese enterprises to participate in global competition.
